Members
Membership and fees
Access to the airfield is reserved exclusively for members. The PPR request also serves as an application for membership, and the amount paid is the membership fee for the period requested.
Members only
Use of the airfield, including landing, take-off and parking, is reserved exclusively for members of Garda Lake Airfield S.S.D. a R.L. Access by non-members is not provided for, except as set out for emergency landings.
Application for membership
The application is submitted by filling in the online PPR form. By sending it, the applicant declares that they know and fully accept the Articles of Association, these Airfield regulations and the Flight operations regulations.
Admission decision
Admission is decided by the managing body, which assesses each application at its sole discretion. The fee is held on the card when the application is submitted and charged only after the admission decision: if the application is not accepted, the hold is released at no cost to the applicant.
Amount of the fee
The membership fee is EUR 10, plus EUR 10 for each night the aircraft is parked. The total is calculated on the dates given in the application and is shown before it is sent.
Duration of membership
Membership starts with the admission decision and covers the period authorised in the PPR. A new application is required for any later period. The rights granted to members by the Articles of Association remain unaffected.
Emergency landings
Landing in a state of necessity or emergency is always allowed, including for non-members, without PPR and at no cost. The pilot must inform the Operator as soon as possible.

Regulations
Airfield regulations
Use of the airfield, reserved exclusively for members, implies full acceptance of these regulations, which govern the use of the airfield, intended solely for recreational or sport flying with ultralight aircraft, in compliance with applicable law and the Operator’s instructions.

Status and operation of the airfield
Airfield located in the Municipality of Castelnuovo del Garda (VR), coordinates 45°27'06.9"N – 10°43'23.4"E, elevation 278 ft AMSL. Activity is permitted exclusively under daytime VFR conditions, from sunrise to sunset. The Operator reserves the right to suspend airfield activity temporarily or permanently for reasons of safety, maintenance, weather conditions or orders of the competent Authorities, without this entailing any liability on the part of the Operator, except for the refund of amounts already paid for services not used.
Admitted aircraft
The airfield is reserved exclusively for ultralight aircraft (microlights) with a maximum take-off mass (MTOW) not exceeding 600 kg. Aircraft exceeding this limit are not permitted.
Members only and PPR requirement (Prior Permission Required)
Access to the airfield, including landing, take-off and parking, is reserved exclusively for members and is allowed only with prior PPR authorisation, which is always mandatory: valid only for the authorised dates, effective only after the admission decision and payment of the membership fee, and required even when there is no traffic or for short stops. Landing in a state of necessity or emergency is always allowed without PPR and at no cost, provided the Operator is informed as soon as possible.
Weather conditions
In the event of adverse weather (strong wind, rain, hail) aircraft must be promptly secured. The runway may be used only after suitable conditions have been restored, subject to the Operator's authorisation.
Grass surface maintenance
The runway undergoes periodic maintenance of the grass surface by means of a mowing tractor, including during unattended hours. Compliance with PPR procedures before every flight operation is therefore mandatory.
Guest access
Guest access is permitted only upon prior notice to the Operator. The hosting User is responsible for the conduct of their guests; minors must be accompanied at all times. The Operator reserves the right to restrict or deny access for safety reasons.
Video surveillance and alarms
The facilities are equipped with video surveillance and alarm systems. Access to the footage is limited to the areas under the User's responsibility, in compliance with privacy legislation. The full privacy notice on data processing is available on the site's Privacy page.
Liability
Each User is directly liable for damage caused to persons, property or facilities. Parking does not constitute a deposit contract within the meaning of art. 1766 of the Italian Civil Code: the parking areas are unattended and the Operator assumes no obligation of custody or surveillance. The Operator holds a third-party liability insurance policy but, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, is not liable for theft, fire or damage to aircraft, materials and equipment parked or stored.
Default
In the event of unpaid amounts, the Operator may exercise the right of retention over the aircraft pursuant to art. 2756 of the Italian Civil Code, until the sums due are paid in full.
Jurisdiction
Any dispute relating to the interpretation and application of these regulations falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Verona, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer forum under the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), where applicable.
Regulations
Flight operations regulations
These regulations govern the conduct of flight activity at the Garda Lake Airfield and are binding on all Users and authorised Pilots.
Knowledge of operating rules
The User declares that they are aware of and fully accept the provisions governing the use of the runway, the published traffic circuits, the airfield's operating procedures and the applicable Letter of Agreement, which forms an integral part of these regulations.
Operational limitations
Performing aerobatics within a radius of 5 km of the airfield is strictly forbidden. Activity is permitted exclusively for ultralight aircraft, under daytime VFR (sunrise–sunset). Overflying the Gardaland park and the Peschiera del Garda hospital is forbidden; the published circuits, altitudes and procedures must be respected.
Authorisation to use the runway
Use of the runway is subject to the prior consent of the Operator, who may at any time, at its sole discretion and for safety or operational reasons, restrict or suspend flight activity, including temporarily.
Aircraft and pilot requirements
Use of the runway is forbidden for aircraft lacking the mandatory insurance coverage, not equipped with a functioning radio, or not compliant with airworthiness and maintenance documentation, as well as for pilots whose licences, certificates or ratings are expired or invalid. Responsibility for the validity of the documentation rests exclusively with the Pilot.
Runway closure
The runway may be closed for routine or extraordinary maintenance, adverse weather conditions, or safety or operational needs, whenever the Operator deems it necessary.
Specific prohibitions
It is strictly forbidden to drain fuel onto the grass surface or onto any area not equipped for that purpose.
Letter of Agreement
The User declares that they have read the Letter of Agreement attached to these regulations and fully accept its contents, with particular reference to applicability, conditions of use of the airspace, operational limitations and liability.
Authorisations and limitations
The User undertakes to comply with all the operational conditions and limitations set out in the authorisations issued by the competent Authorities and referred to in the Letter of Agreement, where applicable.
Compliance obligations
Each Pilot is required to operate at all times in compliance with the procedures, limitations and operational requirements of the Airfield and of the Letter of Agreement, assuming full responsibility for doing so.
